Job description – IT Desktop Support Technician (NOC 22221)

Qualifications: 5 years experience, FETAC (NCVA) Level 5 qualification in Information Technology or equivalent 1 year post secondary diploma in IT, minimum 3 years experience working for Fortune 100 company; prior experience in service delivery for major managed services provider.
Term of Employment: Ongoing – Permanent

Wage: $35 CAD per hour
Hours: 40 per week, Fluctuations in work schedule which can include evenings and weekends
Location of Work: In-Office, Vancouver BC

Duties:
● Assist with delivery of efficient and reliable IT operations for our clients.
● Deliver Tier 1 / Tier 2 technical solutions, and see any escalated tickets through to completion.
● Contribute to IT operations project design, delivery, and maintenance.
● Handle or hand-off of incoming procurement requests.
● Provide guidance, and basic process training for client staff.
● Assist with laptop/desktop/telephone selection and procurement.
Competencies:
- Proficient with a ticket management systems, helpdesk management, remote support tools.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure/365 identity services.
- Understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and Wi-Fi
- troubleshooting)
- Proficiency with document creation, including user documentation, handover documentation.
- Personable, articulate, and clear communication – both written and spoken. A sense of humour.
